Bad spellers of the world...Untie!!!

That quote always cracks me up...so it can be the title of my first blog.

I am somewhat new to blogging. I had a Live Journal a while ago but just let it go. A good friend of mine created a blog on this very site and did a great job. It motivated me to start one of my own. I'm not sure exactly what I'll type from day to day or how often I'll type but I will always try to make it entertaining.

I guess for my first post I'll share a little about myself (just a little too...I don't want to give my stalkers too much information). My name is Al and I'm a teacher. I teach students that are emotionally disturbed. They have quite the list of problems. The kids in my class suffer from depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. This leads to many interesting days and circumstances. Have you ever seen someone with multiple personalities carry on a conversation in two different languages? I have. Pretty interesting too. In fact just today I had to help restrain her because she became pissed off at one of the voices she was hearing and started throwing desks in the classroom. This is no small girl by the way either. She stands about 5'9 and weighs about 170lbs.. If it wasn't for one of my coworkers, she might have power bombed me through a table (I also watch WWE wrestling...Yes, I know it's not real). Situations like this see to occur often at my school, but...that's why I like my school. Every day is a new day. Heck...last week I had a student get upset at me because I wouldn't let him lie down on top of the classroom desks during lunch detention (I know...I suck). I explained to him that it was not appropriate and asked him to get down several times. Eventually, he became angry at me and decided to just walk out of my class. While he was walking out of the room he stopped by the door and threw his chilli cheese dog at me and his delicious cafeteria fruit cup. Thankfully, I'm quite skilled at dodge ball and was able to dodge all of it except for a few drops of juice.
Yes, everyday is an adventure. Tomorrow, I’m taking the day off because I have a big paper to work on for a class I’m taking. Hopefully all will turn out well.
